The Best Laptops For College Students
The best laptops for college students depends on what he or she wants or expects to do with it. If they are engineering students or gamers, then they need as fast a laptop as they can get. If they simply want it to do home work, email or just surf the net, just about any laptop will do.
My Suggestions:
1..A processor with 2.5ghz or faster
2..2 gb ram or memory
3..80 gb hard drive
4..Should have a firewire (IEEE1394) port and at least 2 USB ports. Note that these can be added with a PCMCIA card.
5..Ethernet Connection..This will allow them into the schools network via ethernet. Many professors require homework to be submitted on line. A side note is that they can use it to down load video, ringtones, MP3 music.
6..If they are gamers, a notebook with dedicated video ram is a must, preferably 256mb if available.
