My name is Rick Blackmon.  I call myself The Elderly Geek.  Why?  I am 74 years old and I have worked on or with computers since July 15, 1957.  I worked for IBM or its spinoffs from July 15, 1957 until March 31, 1996. 

Following my IBM career, I sold and installed computers for Computer City until they closed the Houston North Store.  I then worked for Gateway, selling and installing computers until they closed their store.  Wonder if I am bad luck or something.

My wife Joyce and I have been married for 42 years.  She had 2 daughters, I had 2 boys, and we had one son, a true Yours, Mine and Ours situation.
