I already have spybot, which is great for removing it, and a pretty good virus scanner (AVG Free) but I have to keep removing spyware that has managed to lodge itself on my computer. I know how to get rid of it once it’s already there, but how do I keep the spyware from getting onto my computer at all? I scan it just about every day and lists of spyware keep showing up just from casual use, even only going on yahoo. Is there a way to stop this?

We have 4 computers in our house. Three are currently wireless, one hardwired. We have one printer that is connected with wires to one of the wireless computers. Right now, we can only print using that one computer. So if we are working on one of the other computers, we have to save the file and email it to ourselves and go open it on the “printing” computer. How can I print from the other three computers? Is there a way to link it all now or do I need to go buy some more equipment for the printer? Or do only certain printers have these capabilities?

I just added a review of the Gateway DX442XP to the reviews section of The Geek’s Computer Store. My first impression when I read the review had to do with the name..DX442XP. Doesn’t that remind you of the engine in the old Dodge Charger?

The new issue of PC Magazine (Aug 2008) arrived yesterday and had some interesting articles.
In the article they talked about Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 which is unannounced as of now.
They also reviewed the Alienware Area-51mx. There is an interesting article on what they call “Windows 7, the replacement for the struggling Vista.
I really look forward to each publication. It makes me feel as if I am staying on top of new developments.

A few years back, I got deeply into editing home video. I found it to be very enjoyable. I bought most of the software available. One of the most interesting things I did was to discover chromakey. I recently posted a short article about chromakey on the Ezine Website.

We geeks speak in a language that is foreign to most people. When I speak “computerese” to my wife, her eyes glaze over and she tunes me out.
