Computers Are High Speed Morons

When I need a new computer, I look at the cheap Desktop computers for sale. That has always worked for me.  The Gateways and HPs that I have purchased have provided me many hours of useful service as well as enjoyment in a large variety of ways.  I have created spreadsheets, documents, and databases on them.  They are also a help for me with my school work, research, and personal finances.  Even the used computers I have had lasted for years.

I first discovered the usefulness of the computer when I used it instead of a typewriter.  It was a relief when I no longer had to retype a document because I had made one or two errors.  I could simply delete the error and retype it.  It saved me many hours of tedious retyping.

That was only the first way  the computer was able to be of help in my life.  I was soon able to store a great deal of information on the computer. This included pictures that could be printed out or sent to other people by email.   Email and the internet, which I access through my computer, allows me to connect and communicate with many people on a daily basis.

While the computer does many things quickly for me, it is I who by a series of commands direct the computer's activities. I need to be very precise because the computer is not that smart.  Actually, it is a moron with no imagination.  The computer takes everything I type into it, literally with no regard as to whether it was what I really needed  . It does, however, save me a great deal of time and is a wonderful tool to help me accomplish much each day.

I see computers and every thing they do almost every where I go. This includes hospitals, libraries, universities, book stores, and department stores.  It is hard to remember that there was a time when the bill for my groceries had to have been figured out manually. It must have been so time consuming.

I currently have two computers. One of them is a Gateway laptop while the other is a desktop. They were both cheap computers  when I bought them. I also have an inexpensive HP printer. I have had the computers for years now and they are still providing a great deal of help to me through my day.

I would not want to go back to the time when I typed all my documents by hand. I prefer having the computer to do as much of the dull and tedious work as it can. That allows me more time to be creative or social. While I may never perform brain surgery with one, I know that there is a great deal that I can accomplish with a computer's help. It is an excellent tool.
